About the Event

 Welcome to our fourth National Mindfulness Discussion Series: "Mindfulness in the Workplace in Canada: How integrated it is so far?"

Our intriguing two panelists and their biographies are:

Wendy Quan – Founder of The Calm Monkey

Wendy Quan is the founder of The Calm Monkey - she is the pioneer and a leader in workplace mindfulness facilitator training & certification. She has trained over 430 mindfulness facilitators worldwide and has served many organizations including Google, the U.S. National Park Service and the Greater Good Science Center of UC Berkeley.

Wendy is the workplace mindfulness expert for The Great Courses and has been recognized as a leader in the integration of mindfulness and change management by the global Association of Change Management Professionals.

Before Wendy started The Calm Monkey in 2014, her background was in corporate management in HR, IT and change management. Today, she is gratefully serving those who want to help others create a better experience of life with mindfulness.

Michael Apollo, MHSc, RP - Founder and CEO of Mindful Society Global Institute

Michael Apollo is a leader in workplace mindfulness and executive development with 20 years of experience in mindfulness. He is the founder and CEO of Mindful Society Global Institute, recognized as the authority in mindfulness training for professionals. 

He is the co-inventor of the award winning meditation assisting neurotechnology Muse which is used by NASA, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, Formula 1 and other leading institutions. Michael has worked with hundreds of organizations, including Google, CIBC, Rotman School of Management, World Health Organization, and Canadian/US Olympic teams. 

He previously served as the program director of Mindfulness at the University of Toronto, and his work has been featured on Netflix, Reader's Digest, and other national and international media outlets.
